In 2019, a group of citizen scientists and community members, in partnership with Transition Fidalgo and the City of Anacortes, came together to form the ACFL Forest Monitoring Program. Since then, volunteers have been hard at work collecting valuable data to track the health of the forest ecosystems in our backyard. Join postdoctoral fellow Robbie Andrus (WSU School of Environment) to learn about a new project using aerial images to learn about the ACFL from a new perspective - from above! And, don’t worry, we’ll share plenty of information for how you can help ground-truth the lessons we learn from the sky.
