August Family Nature Walk - Plants!

  • Whistle Lake Anacortes, WA United States (map)

Join Friends of the ACFL to learn all about plants and explore the many ways they give to the forest! We’ll spend some time talking about how the sun gives plants the energy they need to make food and our plants give food, shelter and shade to all our animals. Come spend the morning with us as we explore Whistle Lake to learn about how plants make food, how to appreciate these plants for their amazing abilities and how to use them responsibly to make a cool nature craft.

This hike is ideal for families with kids ages 0-10 and we will take a slow pace with stops along the way to accommodate our smallest hikers. We welcome all ages but please be aware that this hike will be at a slower pace than our other community hikes.
